These cameras transmit encoded video and audio analog signals. This is because of the digital packets sent over high-bandwidth radio frequencies. These cameras adjust their frequencies, thus, tuning into its signals are harder. Correctly pairing your receiver with the camera is needed, so that the two are always on the same frequency.
A clear line of sight is necessary between camera(s) and the receiver for wireless surveillance cameras to function best. With a clear line of sight, digital wireless cameras normally have an outdoor range of 250 to 450 feet, but the range is limited between 100 to 150 feet indoors. Glass, windows, drywall and cubical walls normally don’t weaken signal strength. Concrete floors and Brick are the culprits that disrupt signals. Additionally, trees that are in the line of sight between the camera and receiver could impact signal strength.
